Dutch inspiration and German effiency blend in well with British gardening style





The Dutch wave hit British gardening at the beginning of the Nineties. We were still contentedly wallowing in traditional colour-schemed borders, cottage gardens, vegetable potagers, knot gardens and the books of Rosemary Verey.

Dutch gardening masters never cease to amaze

In the general run of things, I have a grand memory for forgetting. But notice of The Garden Museum's Going Dutch exhibition succeeded in detonating an explosion of memories in me.
